About this internship
This hands-on Microbiology training program provides practical exposure to fundamental microbiological laboratory techniques and bacterial analysis.
Participants will learn basic concepts of percentage, molarity, normality and reagent preparation, along with basic laboratory instrument handling and sterilization techniques.
The training covers media preparation, microbial isolation and pure culture techniques, microbial staining and visualization, including Gram, capsule and flagella staining. Participants will also learn bacterial strain selection using differential media and biochemical tests for bacterial strain identification.
Further practical training includes bacterial motility testing, methylene blue reduction testing, CFU determination in various samples, bacterial growth curve determination and coliform testing.
The program also covers antimicrobial activity determination using well diffusion and disc diffusion methods, along with MIC determination using the 96-well plate resazurin method and MBC determination.
