About this internship
This one-month hands-on training program in Biochemistry is designed to provide practical exposure to fundamental biochemical laboratory techniques and analytical methods. Participants will learn reagent preparation, basic laboratory instrument handling, biomolecule estimation, chromatographic techniques, electrophoresis and spectrophotometric analysis.
The training covers qualitative and quantitative analysis of proteins, carbohydrates, lipids and various phytochemicals. Participants will also gain practical knowledge of SDS-PAGE, protein characterization, enzyme activity determination, thin-layer chromatography and alcohol estimation.
The program further introduces recombinant protein expression in E. coli and purification using affinity chromatography, providing exposure to important techniques used in modern biotechnology and biochemical research.
The training is suitable for students interested in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences and related laboratory-based fields.
