Medical Biotechnology

This internship provides practical training in Medical Biotechnology, covering good laboratory practices, basic calculations, weighing and measurements, and the principles and handling of laboratory equipment. It includes blood typing, DNA extraction from blood cells, PCR, DNA quantification using spectrophotometry, agarose gel electrophoresis, isolation and identification of bacteria from pathological samples, antimicrobial sensitivity testing by disk and well diffusion methods, ELISA, urine culture, and isolation and identification of important pathogenic bacteria using different selective media. The internship concludes with review and certification.
