About this internship
This internship provides training in clinical research and clinical trial data management, covering the foundations of clinical research, placebo effects, randomized controlled trials, informed consent, research ethics, clinical trial phases, epidemiology, bias, patient-centered outcomes and the role of clinical research coordinators. It also covers basic statistical methods, clinical research regulations, clinical trial protocol development and pharmacovigilance. The data management component introduces the SAS system, SAS data sets, data step programming, data manipulation, transformations, combining data sets, and retrieving data from single and multiple tables. The training also focuses on effective communication, collaboration and problem-solving approaches for technical concepts.
