About this internship
This internship provides practical exposure to Industrial Microbiology through the study of pure culture isolation techniques from different sources, microbial identification and staining techniques, and biochemical tests. It also covers bacterial growth curve analysis and the isolation and purification of industrially important enzymes from microorganisms. The training includes fermentation and alcohol production, evaluation and determination of Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC), and the study of the effects of physical and chemical mutagens on microbial growth. The internship concludes with a presentation and final discussion.
