This industry-ready Bioinformatics Workshop is designed for undergraduate and postgraduate students, research students, and life-science professionals who want to develop practical bioinformatics skills through live, hands-on training. The workshop is beginner-friendly and provides step-by-step learning with industry-standard tools and real-world applications.
The training covers Biological Databases such as NCBI, Ensembl and UniProt, Linux Command Line, Python and Biopython, Sequence Alignment and BLAST, and Protein Structure Analysis using PyMOL. It also introduces Genomics and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), Quality Control, Read Mapping, Variant Calling and Annotation, with an optional RNA-seq Data Analysis module.
Participants will work with practical datasets, step-by-step demonstrations, quizzes and assessments, and real-world mini projects. The workshop also provides mentor support, personalized feedback, doubt support, study resources, and access to the workshop community.
